This or That Book Tag

Hello, everyone!

Also, let’s have a round of applause for Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks for making this fun tag!

The Questions:

Reading on the couch or on the bed?

As a busy mom I kind of have to make-do with reading wherever and whenever I can. I definitely prefer reading on my bed though! Turning off the lights and sounds at night helps me to jump inside the book and roll into the action.

Sweet or salty snacks while reading?

I generally prefer salty/savory food to sweets. Although it’d have to be a non-messy finger food if I’m reading.

Trilogies or quartets?

I love both as long as the author fleshes out the characters while keeping the plot moving forward. If I had to choose though, I’d pick trilogies because they’re less of a commitment.

First person or third person POV?

Third person POV. I like getting a detailed view of all the characters and experiencing unique writing styles.

Night or morning reader?

There’s usually too much going on during the day for me to read. Night is when I can sit and read to my heart’s content.

Libraries or bookstores?

Hmm. My wallet definitely says libraries. Libraries also have this magical aura to them with those worn books sitting on the shelves like cherished relics.

My heart, however, wants to go to the bookstore and buy all those stories to keep forever! The heart wins in this case.

Books that make you laugh or cry?

Books that make me cry tears of happiness. And sometimes a book will be funny enough to get those tears flowing too. Ah, a loophole so I can have both! Teehee. 😊

Black or white covers?

Black covers. They’re less likely to show dirt/age and they look elegant. Although a white backdrop can help illustrations “pop.”

Character driven or plot driven?

This is a tough one! I guess I’ll go with character-driven. A plot-driven story will keep my eyes riveted on the pages, but a character driven story makes me want to re-read a book so I can visit my favorite people again.

Tag! You’re it!

Anyone who wants to play can join in on the fun!

Many thanks to everyone for reading my post. Happy reading and writing to all!

  1. Great answers, I really enjoyed reading them! Agree with you that black covers look more elegant and white covers illustrations usually stand out. Thanks for doing the tag😊
